grenada

Grenada, known as the "Isle of Spice", is one of the most southerly of the Windward Islands. Its soil and climate are ideal for producing nutmeg, mace, cinnamon, clove, ginger and bay leaf, as well as some of the world's finest cocoa and bananas. Regarded as the most charming harbour town in the Western Hemisphere, the capital St. George's with its pink-roofed brick houses, epitomises Grenada's laid-back appeal. The hotel we feature is spread along two idyllic beaches, Grand Anse and L'Ance aux Epines - just a short drive from the airport.

Grenada has remained typically Caribbean and that is its greatest charm. So far it has managed to preserve its naturalness and some would say that it lacks sophistication. However, our hotel on the island combines refined hospitality with Grenada's abundant tropical splendour. There is more to Grenada than its beaches. Up in the mountainous Grand Etang you'll find monkeys and rare fauna. Try a nature hike to experience the true tropics and, in the right season, pick mangoes to quench your thirst en route. For those in search of natural beauty, lush green terrain and peaceful uncrowded white sand beaches and coves, the Isle of Spice is hard to beat.

Famous for its local cuisine, visitors are encouraged to try local delicacies including deliciously prepared Caribbean seafood and various West Indian indigenous foods. Until you have tried Grenada's deliciously tempting local cuisine you have not savoured the ultimate spice island to the full.

For a gentle, friendly, tropical experience - Grenada awaits you.
