selous game reserve
The Selous Game Reserve is one of the largest areas in the world set aside for wildlife preservation, covering approximately 50,000 square kilometres. Its size, combined with the lack of mass tourism in the reserve, guarantees the visitor a truly remarkable experience. The area supports a variety of game including large herds of elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, hunting dog and many species of plains game, including the rare Sable antelope.
