Itinerary:
Day 1: Ngutuni Lodge & Game Sanctuary
- Leave Mombasa at 9am and drive to the Ngutuni Game Sanctuary. This is a journey of about four hours, which will be undertaken in your Rhino Safari vehicle, giving you a chance to take in the Kenyan landscape, and watch the transition from city to bush
- Arrive at the Ngutuni Lodge and have lunch, followed by an evening game drive to see some of the shyer nocturnal animals living in the Ngutuni Game Sanctuary
- Return to the Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay
Day 2: Ziwani Tented Camp
- An early morning game drive is followed by breakfast at the Lodge
- Drive to Ziwani Tented Camp, on the edge of Tsavo West and close to the border with Tanzania
- After lunch at the Camp, either take a guided nature walk or relax at the Camp and watch hippo in the river
- In the evening a night game drive provides an opportunity to search for bush babies, genet cats, porcupine, grazing hippos and even some elusive big cats
- Return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay
Day 3: Tsavo West
- Following an early morning guided walk with the Camp’s resident naturalist and park ranger, have breakfast at the Camp
- Drive to Tsavo West via Mzima Springs, where an underwater viewing hide provides the opportunity to watch hippo ‘moon-walking’ in the crystal clear waters of the Springs
- Lunch is followed by an afternoon game drive
- Dinner and overnight at the Ngulia Lodge
Day 4: Amboseli
- Following breakfast at the Lodge, leave Tsavo West and travel to Amboseli National Park via the spectacular Shetani lava flow
- Lunch is followed by an afternoon game drive in Amboseli, with the opportunity to see some of Kenya’s largest elephant herds along with breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro (usually best seen at dawn and dusk)
- Dinner and overnight at the Ol Tukai Lodge
Day 5: Amboseli
- Full day in Amboseli, with morning and afternoon game drives
- Dinner and overnight at the Ol Tukai Lodge
Day 6: Tsavo East
- Following breakfast, drive to Voi Safari Lodge, perched on a rock kopje in Tsavo East
- Lunch at the Voi Safari Lodge is followed by an afternoon game drive in the rugged wilderness of Tsavo East
- Drive to Ngutuni Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay
Day 7: Mombasa
- After breakfast, depart for the return journey to Mombasa. You will arrive around lunchtime, in time for connections on to the coast or home
